Although Google doesn't really put much stock in meta tags anymore, it's still good practice to go ahead and include them in your website. You will want to include at the very least, a keywords tag, a description tag, and a title tag in the head section of every page on your website. After doing that, make sure each page has its own unique primary keyword. Use those keywords in your headings (H1) and also a couple of times within the content (text) of your page. Then you can also use the keyword for each page in that page's images, not only with the alt-tags, but with the filenames as well. There is a fine line between including the keywords enough, and overdoing it, so a good rule of thumb is to just make sure your site caters to human visitors. Don't have your keyword appear 40 times in a 5 paragraph article, for example, because it will not seem natural.
